Blame Someone Else Day

It’s April 13th, so you know what that means. It’s time to talk about a holiday that some love, some hate, and some have never even heard of. That’s right, Happy Blame Someone Else Day!

Blame Someone Else Day falls on the first Friday the 13th of the year, and it’s your chance to put the blame on someone else with absolutely no consequences or repercussions (assuming that all issues are resolved within 24 hours, your actions don’t cause an unfortunate chain of events that ultimately bring about your own downfall, and you don’t make a lifelong nemesis who is dead-set on vengeance).

You can do no wrong on this day. Oh nothing’s been posted on social media? Thanks a lot, Tony. You mean you still haven’t received that email? I think I saw Todd sneaking about, muttering something under his breath about deleting emails. No, I didn’t eat your sandwich, it must have been Tyler. So many scapegoats, so little time. That is, unless you work from home and have no one to blame but yourself.

If that’s the case (and even if you do have someone to blame), do no wrong today, but for the right reasons! Be on top of absolutely everything. Respond to all of those emails that have been piling up in your inbox. Tackle your to-do list and cross as many things off that list as you can. Make today as efficient and productive as you possibly can.

In fact, don’t just stop at your to-do list. You should always view holidays as an opportunity to do a little extra social media marketing.
